The "Voice of The Mountain" is sometimes carried on the wind which is so strong that only scrub trees can grow up there. I thought I
would let you see some of the beautiful scenes in the Mt. Rogers National Recreation Area. This area encompasses over one hundred thousand acres and offers some of the
finest fishing, camping and hunting in Virginia. Come See and hear
"The Voice of The Mountain"!
The Appalachian Trail traverses the park offering fine views from the high peaks. It passes through the town of Damascus, Va. where a Trail Days Festival is held each
spring.
