Bush Policies Are Leading To Bankruptcy Of U. S.

President Bush Has No Answers To Problems in Iraq

The tax cutting and spending policies of the George W. Bush administration are taking our country down the road toward bankruptcy daily. While the interest rates are the lowest in many years, we must realize that as the government borrows more and more money to meet the debts the president and congress are accumulating  the present interest rates cannot be maintained. At some point the government will be borrowing most all the money available and this means that business expansion will soon hit a snag and grind to a halt, in fact, even with the historically low rates job growth is very low.  The economy is unsustainable without more jobs and higher incomes for the working class.
The Voice tells me that President Bush is leading this country toward the greatest depression ever seen in this or any advanced society. With the low interest rates of the past few years millions of Americans have purchased new homes apparently believing there is no end to prosperity in this country, I'm afraid many are in for a rude awakening as their jobs disappear and unemployment checks won't even buy gas and groceries!
The President insists on changing the Medicare system to a privatized plan which will be operated by insurance and managed care companies. We Senior Citizens don't need more management of our lives, we need controls placed on the drug companies requiring them to sell us our pills at the same price as they are furnished to people in other countries.
Many people do not realize that managed care companies who have made contracts with Medicare are receiving huge amounts each month whether they spend any money on members of their plans or not. In some parts of the country these managed care companies receive as much as $800.00 per month. It would make more sense to pay the members half that much and let them put it in a saving account for future medical use or buy their own coverage.
It is truly a disgrace that our retired citizens are being robbed of the money which they paid into the system by the policies of this administration and our representatives in Washington.
As the national debt increases and the Bush tax cuts start taking more and more out of the available monies there will, no doubt, be suggestions that social security taxes must be raised and that benefits must be reduced.

The time is rapidly approaching when senior citizens will have to take to their walkers and wheelchairs and march on Washington.

President Bush seems to have a "canned" answer to all questions concerning the quagmire in Iraq, "It was the right thing to do". No matter what the question or how it is phrased, the President stammers a bit and then works around to this answer.
At today's news conference he insisted that the increase in bombings and attacks in Iraq were signs that we are making progress there. How can that be? Apparently when everything in Iraq is destroyed and hundreds more of our soldiers have been killed we will have been completely successful and everyone can come home!
Mr Bush told us today that it would be a great burden to ask the Iraq people to pay for rebuilding their country from oil revenues, apparently he thinks it is much better for American taxpayers to foot the bill!
Who is going to reap the profits from the oil once it starts flowing from Iraq? The Voice of the Mountain tells me that American and British petroleum interests will pocket the money derived from this bonanza!
