Thoughts, Dreams and Predictions By G. Lee Hearl, Ye Olde Psychic and Soothsayer

The Dream Which Foretold a Change in My Life
During the early 1980s I was employed as a machinist at Bristol Tool and Engineering co. in Bristol, Tennessee. The company had recently been bought by new owners and the direction of the company had changed somewhat. One of my co-workers had gone to another job because of his dissatisfaction with the new management and I was considering that I might also be leaving. I had a premonition that something was about to happen which would bring a change in my life and one day I told another worker about it. I had no idea what was going to happen but I said, "I wish it would happen soon".
The Dream
A Few nights later I had a very vivid dream which I remembered in detail the next morning. I dreamed I was "in the spirit" on Lee Highway in Bristol, Va. I was standing in the middle of the street and cars were passing by and through me, none hitting me! Kerns Bakery was on my left and straight ahead was the railroad bridge crossing the highway.. As I stood there, I saw a small airplane overhead and as I watched, it came down and flew under the railroad overpass then back up overhead. It then began sky writing and I stood there reading the words it wrote. "Danger, Beware of......" The last word was unreadable as the wind blew it away. I awoke the next morning wondering what that last word was and it crossed my mind several times that day but there was no way I could recall the dream and see the word.
The Accident
Within a few days a coworker and I were removing a large piece of material from the cutoff saw when a material rack beside me broke and a large piece of steel slid out and crushed my fingers. I knew it had severed two of my fingers because they were just hanging by small pieces of skin. My coworker took me to the hospital immediately and when I got there I realized it had also cut my right thumb off. The boys at the shop found my thumb and brought it to the hospital. A surgeon was called but he told me he could not save my thumb or fingers and asked if I wanted to go to the hospital in Louisville, Ky. I told him I did and he arranged for a small plane to fly me to Louisville.. Lying on the stretcher, I could almost imagine that small plane sky writing as we went. The doctors at the Jewish Hospital  were able to save one of my fingers and later used my big toe to make me a new thumb. My life changed because I started teaching machine technology at a local college and started picking my guitar with my big toe! Dreams reveal things which lie ahead but they don't always give the last word!
The End.......
